Information ###################### Date that scamming took place: May 15, 2010 Method of Contact Used: Email and AIM Instant Messenger ID of scammer: redpagodamountain Your Instant Messenger ID: Dooplecake MMOBAY Account of Scammer: None I know of Other information: Scam Information ###################### What was scammed?: I was paid $420 for my account last night, and when I logged onto Paypal to check if it was indeed a scam, the money was held. Link of trade thread: The auction was ended when sold. Approximate value of scammed property: $420.00 USD Was a middleman used?: If yes, who?: No middleman. Describe how you were scammed: This person emailed me and was interested in the account, and everything seemed legitimate. So after he got the account info and I got the money I went to sleep, and beacuse I was slightly skeptical I checked Paypal this morning, and there you go. It was a scam. He cancelled the payment, or whatever a few hours after he got the account. I can not obtain the final couple emails, but what happened was I did let him on the account to see if the info worked. He logged off, I changed the password, then he transferred me the $420, then I gave him all the info. Everything seemed fine at the time. Additional Information ###################### Did you do any background searching before the trade?: Yes / No (optional) Have you traded with this person before?: Yes / No (optional) Approximately how many trades have you done on MMOBAY?: (optional) So just out of curiosity, I can't prove to paypal that a transaction did go through, can I? My best bet would be to just get my account back?
